Start on May 1, 2009

 

Duration: 1 year

 

Location: Dallas TX

 

1.0    Scope

EDS provides architectural, engineering, build/implementation, DBA work, new application integration assistance and support services for its current client.  It also provides operational support on a 365 x 24 x 7 operational basis.  Operational efforts support trouble reporting, configuration management, and ensure ongoing system integrity, reliability and security of the infrastructure.  Current signed contractual obligations run through May 31, 2013.

 

2.0     Services or Detailed Task/Work Requirements

This Web co-hosting production environment operates on a 7X24X365 schedule. The position is responsible for documenting network operations at 3 different data centers with 5 different landscapes throughout the US. 

 

3.0  Skills Required

The following skills and experience are mandatory:

 

·                                 Minimum of 5 years as a project manager

·                                 Minimum of 2 years an ITIL project manager

·                                 Microsoft Office suite

·                                 ITIL v2 or v3 Foundations certification

·                                 Ability to work on many tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment

·                                 Superior verbal and written communication, including executive-level presentations

·                                 Experience as point of contact with clients

·                                 Experience working with remote teams

·                                 Experience with all aspects of Service Management (Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Configuration, Asset, Service Level, Availability, Capacity, and Continuity Management)

 

It is desired that the resource have ITIL practitioner certification (service/support), knowledge of the Remedy ITSM suite, and certifications in ISO or Lean Six Sigma.

 

Typical responsibilities of the problem manager include the following:

 

·                                 Create and monitor project plans

·                                 Review existing processes to ensure currency and accuracy

·                                 Audit processes and process documentation

·                                 Lead client and EDS meetings

·                                 Prepare reports and presentations for clients and EDS

 

4.0  Milestones and Deliverables

 

Project plans, status reports and other documentation as mandated by the contract and the client. 

 

5.0  Acceptance Criteria

 

Candidates must pass a background investigation, drug test, credit check and finger print investigation by the Federal Reserve System.  Candidates must be U.S. citizens or possess a valid U.S. Immigration Service Work Permit “Green Card.”  No other INS status is acceptable. 

 

6.0 Place and Period of Performance

 

This position must be performed in Dallas, TX.  The position will probably continue for more than a year.
