Main responsibilities:
§ Meet with business stakeholders and other technical team members to gather and analyze application requirements
§ Design database solutions to satisfy application (business and technical) requirements
§ Implement database solutions using available database development tools
§ Provide first level operational support for development and production database systems
§ Provide written status reports to management regarding project status, task, and issues/risks
Required Skills:
§ Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
§ 8 years working experience in Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, or other relational database
§ Written and verbal communication skills
§ Good technical and problem solving skills; knowledge of Oracle database server, SQL, PL/SQL, XML, SQL Server, UNIX, shell scripting
Desired Skill Set:
Work with product managers, project managers, and other development team members on a daily basis to analyze requirements, and design and development technical solutions.
