Systems Analyst /Tandem Developer – 6+month contract located in
Skills:
*Minimum 6 years programming experience. TAL, C, Base24, Tandem Utilities and subsystems.
*Minimum 5 years requirements analysis and program design.
*Experience in Systems Analysis; Systems Integration; with extensive financial industry experience including switch network interfaces.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills with reliable organizational skills.
*Proven ability to effectively prioritize technical issues and manage numerous projects, and able to work independently.
*Process a strong sense of accountability.
*Ability to effectively interact with all levels of EFT staff; team player.
*Highly motivated and self-assured; hands-on problem solver.
*Experience with project management methodologies.
*Experience interfacing with Systems Administration, Network, Hardware, Operational, and Development teams.
*Minimum of BS in CS, MIS, or job related experience equivalent.
Duties:
*Provide Technical Leadership for a variety of initiatives with matrix-managed teams from various (primarily technical) disciplines:
*Large installs/conversions/migration activities.
*Research & document alternative solutions. Articulate value, cost, and appropriate considerations.
*Provide input to product development.
*Define project requirements and technical specifications.
*Monitor new development activity for potential impact to overall environment.
*Create, review and approve Business & Technical Design documents.
*Design and implement operational data center procedures to support applications
*Provide weekly status reports and time accounting.
Under limited direction, interpret, design solutions, and program business requirements for Tandem based applications. Following established standards and procedures, develop reliable low-maintenance source code that satisfies client requirements as specified in business specifications; create and test application validation data to ensure program functionality as designed; create and maintain application design specifications as needed. Must work in a team environment, mentor less experienced team members and report to a development program manager.
