Configurator / Developer This position’s primary responsibility is to provide technical support for existing user base in addition to enhancement projects within the Siebel production environment. The position is responsible for maintaining and updating the application configuration rules and repository, performing overall daily management of Siebel applications environment and performing operational application development tasks. The position also requires diagnosis of end-user and system problems, assessment of requirements, design of requirements into Siebel, programming or configuration, and technical documentation. This position reports into the Siebel Technical Support and Services Manager in the SS IT Support group. • Developing the detailed design specifications in addition to assistance with business requirements gathering, functional design, gap analysis, technical design, and traceability matrices • Assisting with design and prototyping of Siebel applications including testing and defect fixing • Development and/or Configuration, to meet requirements, including but not limited to: o EAI – Integration Worflows, Wed Services, Integration Objects, Siebel Adapters, EAI Transport Adapters, SOAP, WSDL, DTD, XSL, VBCs Business Service in the Siebel Tools Environment oSiebel VB/eScript/javascript in the Siebel Tools Environment Applets, Business Components, View, Screens, Joins, Links, Pick Lists, Drilldowns Siebel Scripting, Assignment Manager, Workflow Processes, Workflow Policies, State Model, Runtime Events oMigrate Repository, WFs, Web Templates, Reports to various environments Actuate Reports •Performing Defect Troubleshooting and Resolution •Performing Unit Tests in all Environments. •Providing technical lead expertise •Working independently with end-users and business partners •Understanding requirements and design and estimate solutions •Multiple small to moderate size project assignments concurrently Experience with configuration, customization, and maintenance in Siebel platform Ability to translate business requirements/strategies into Siebel Components Siebel-related projects experience from conception to completion Direct experience configuring Siebel 7.x or 8.x version (Siebel Life Sciences 7.8 and/or Clinical 8.0 is preferred) Proven programming skills related to Siebel development, including eScript, JavaScript, VB, SQL and Web Services Proven development experience in Workflow Manager, Assignment Manager and Actuate Reports. Extensive experience in application configuration for a global organization Strong understanding of relational database concepts Strong working understanding of Siebel application structure and configuration processes Extensive knowledge in Siebel architecture and functionality Good communication skills, written and spoken English Experience in Multi Org and Multi Lingual in Siebel Ability to work in fast-paced environment Ability to analyze and learn rapidly changing technologies Strong customer focus, collaboration, adaptability, and planning and organization skills Ability to make decisions and recommendations on while considering various geographic and business requirements global strategies Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
